What Quillify does that Grantable does not
- Federal and state contracts
- They do not cover procurement. We carry 7,900+ open contract opportunities, 26,000+ tracked. For a small business or a municipality this is frequently the larger opportunity, and it is invisible in a grants-only tool.
- Community lenders and patient capital
- 480+ CDFI lenders and foundation program-related investments. Nobody in this category covers this, and for an organization that needs capital, not program funding, it is the difference between a useful answer and a dead end.
- The disqualification filter, published as the headline number
- We hold 122,000+ funders and lead with the 19,000+ who explicitly accept applications, because the smaller number is the useful one. Their prospect database is bigger. Bigger is only better if you can approach them.
- Grading before you send
- Their checklist extraction is real and good. What they do not describe is scoring a finished draft against the announcement the way a reviewer would, including a skim test, and returning a prioritized list of what is weak.
- The portfolio view, for anyone sponsoring a cohort
- Their Agency Hub is built for a consultant with multiple clients. Ours is built for a sponsor with member organizations: shared credit pool, cross-member track record, readiness distribution across the cohort, and onboarding conversion per invitation link. Different job.
What Grantable is good at
Stated accurately, because a comparison that pretends a real product is bad is worth nothing to you and we would rather you could check every line of this.
- Price, particularly for nonprofits
- $50 a month at entry against our $99, and $25 for nonprofits with budgets under $500,000. Their Pro tier is $150 against our $250. If cost is the deciding factor, they are cheaper at every comparable tier and we are not going to argue otherwise.
- No per-seat fees on any tier
- We price by plan with seat counts. They do not charge for seats at all, which for a team of six on a small budget is a straightforwardly better deal.
- A free tier with every capability in it
- Ours is free to browse and search, and the AI work costs credits. Theirs gates on volume, not on features, so you can try everything before paying. That is a genuinely more generous shape of free.
- Storage integrations
- Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Box. We do not have those.
- Their answer on AI is the best in this category
- "AI drafts, humans decide", and the line about your review meaning the thinking is still yours, you just did not start from a blank page. That is the right argument, well made, and we would rather point at it than pretend it is not there.
