- The funder's own disbursement figure
- On federal awards Quillify shows what the agency has actually paid out, taken from the agency's published record and labelled as that. It is not your spending and it is not a substitute for tracking it: it is the number to check when a drawdown feels slow, and it is the funder's account of the money rather than yours. Everyone else in this category reads the customer's books. Federal awards only, and it can lag by weeks.
- A slow month costs you nothing
- Grant work comes in waves and a monthly subscription does not. Instrumentl bills every month whether or not you ran a search. Their own capability page offers to “drag and drop your funder-approved budget, link your accounting software” and show “where your grant spending stands”, which is a view of the money Quillify does not offer at all. - CRM integrations
- Salesforce, Virtuous, Raiser's Edge NXT. A development team already running its donor relationships in one of those has a genuine reason to want the grant pipeline in the same place.
- Depth of history in the funder data
- They publish 10 or more years of 990 data against our tax years 2023 to 2025, plus 450,000 or more funder profiles. For longitudinal research on a funder's giving over a decade, that is the better tool.
- Curation, and a track record you can check
- 250 or more opportunities added weekly by in-house staff, 5,500 or more customers, $1.1B or more in grants managed, and public review scores of 5.0 on Capterra and 4.9 on G2 with named institutional logos. Those are real numbers and they are the reason they are the ones to beat.
- SSO and API on the top tier
